Whimsy & Wonder The Liberty Hill Interactive Art & Music Experience
May 18 6-9pm, Downtown Liberty Hill
Free Admission, Free Parking,
Food available for purchase

The City of Liberty Hill is a proud supporter of the arts in the community,
and on May 18, it transforms downtown’s Main Street into a wonderland that stirs the imagination and indulges the senses at every turn.

At Whimsy & Wonder, downtown businesses will transform into art galleries hosting works from local artists, live art demonstrations and live music in each gallery. Food and wine will be served in whimsical ways featuring aerial bartenders, living tables and a live champagne dress.

Outside, Main Street will be filled with performers, stilt walkers and local artisans. World-renowned Magician Cody S. Fisher will wow visitors with street magic, and a strolling caricature artist will draw guests on the spot. A children’s Imagination Garden will house interactive art exhibits and craft booths. The Imagination Garden will also feature shows by Circus Chickendog throughout the evening. Darren Peterson uses rescue circus dogs, a scarlet mccaw, juggling, unicycling, giant bubbles, an accordion, and circus balancing acts to entertain.

Festival goers will be able to watch live art demonstrations including a live body painter, sidewalk chalk artists and Austin’s very own Dirty Car Artist, Scott Wade, in action. Pedicab drivers will be downtown to transport visitors from downtown street parking and parking lots.

“Liberty Hill has a rich tradition of celebrating the arts that started more than 40 years ago when sculptors came from across the world to create magnificent pieces of art here. Over the years, our community known for its peaceful rural setting has continued to attract the most creative of artists, musicians and free thinkers, and we look for opportunities to celebrate and
share their talents with our Central Texas neighbors,” said Liberty Hill Mayor Rick Hall.

Whimsy & Wonder is an event like none other. Visitors can interact with artists, musicians and street performers, while being dazzled with magical opportunities to create, enjoy and be entertained. The evening promises to be a memorable experience for all ages.

Hosted by The City of Liberty Hill, the event is co-sponsored by the Orchard Ridge community and The Liberty Hill Independent newspaper.

Admission and parking for Whimsy & Wonder is free. Food and a wide variety of unique art items are available for purchase. Liberty Hill is a short drive from Austin. Travel north on US Hwy 183 to SH 29 West OR travel north on IH 35 to Georgetown and exit SH 29 West.
